The Skyline in Austin’s been in a state flux for quite awhile. We were there recently and counted well over a dozen cranes erecting new buildings. Austin has a lot more land set aside for parks and recreation than Dallas and Houston though, and we enjoyed ourselves the week we were there walking all over the city, tallying somewhere between twenty and thirty miles.
So we’ll probably be showcasing more Austin images for a few weeks on “Two for Tuesday.” Austin is an interesting little city; we avoided it for years because it was always so busy and hectic but once you get into the center of it all, busy and hectic can be interesting and fun, especially if you’re walking instead of driving.
We included a bonus shot this week of the SRV statue down by the river. You can see where all the pilgrims have polished his boot with their constant rubbing. All the images this week are from the iPhone 12, since we were on walkabout and didn’t want to drag a DSLR.
