The prevailing message that we share at 3mph.org is; “SLOW DOWN.” Life’s precious and the World is incredibly beautiful. The fast pace of life can be overwhelming, making it difficult to appreciate the best things life has to offer. Instead of racing headlong towards oblivion, SLOW DOWN, take your time. Learn to appreciate the beauty and wonder around you and live life to the fullest.
I wish we’d learned the wisdom of slowing down earlier in our lives, we would have a lot fewer grey hairs. Well I would anyway, Vickie colors hers. Everyone’s always asking if she’s my daughter or something, it’s kind of embarassing. We both pushed hard in our respective careers and they were stressful. We’ve learned to SLOW DOWN now though, and it’s hard to understand why we traded so much of our lives away back then. But alas – it’s water under the bridge.
“People are frugal in guarding their personal property; but as soon as it comes to squandering time they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy.” ~ Seneca
Life’s short, take time to appreciate all the amazing things around you. When you SLOW DOWN and really look at the Great Wide World, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by its beauty. From the stunning landscapes and architecture to the incredible animals and plant life, there’s so much to see and explore. And you only have a limited time here, so why not make the most of it?
Just Breathe
SLOW DOWN, take a deep breath and enjoy all the world has to offer. It’s truly a beautiful place and life is too short to race through it. In the fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the rat race and forget what’s important. Slowing down and taking time to enjoy life is the best way to make the most of it.
When you’re constantly on the go, you don’t have time to appreciate the little things. You miss out on the beauty of a sunset, the smell of freshly baked bread, or the sound of rain on the roof. Taking time to SLOW DOWN and appreciate these things can make all the difference.
“As you slow down, you instantly enter into a brand new world.” ~ Hiral Nagda
Life’s too short to be in a rush all the time. Enjoying life is the primary reason you’re here in the Great Wide World. Take time to smell the flowers, take a walk, go fishing, get out into nature or hang with friends and family. And relish the moment, you’ll be glad you did. There’s no need to rush through life – it’s so much more fulfilling to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the journey.
Enjoy The Process
That way, you’ll appreciate the good moments more, and learn the lessons from the bad ones. Slowing Down is all about savoring the little things, and taking the time to appreciate the beauty in life. It’s about living in the present moment, and enjoying the process, rather than worrying about the destination.
Slowing Down can be applied to all areas of life – from the way you eat, to the way you work, to the way you travel. It’s about simplifying life, and decluttering your schedule so that you can make room for the things that truly matter.
One of the best things about Slowing Down is that it’s good for your health. When you’re constantly rushing about, spinning the hamster wheel, it’s easy to get stressed out and run down. When you SLOW DOWN, you’re able to relax and recharge, which does wonders for your mind and body.
“Sometimes I think there are only two instructions we need to follow to develop and deepen our spiritual life: SLOW DOWN and let go.” ~ Oriah Mountain Dreamer
Don’t Miss Out
So, next time you’re feeling frazzled, remember to slow down and enjoy the ride. Life’s beautiful – don’t rush through it. We all want to make the most of our time here in the Great Wide World, but sometimes it feels like there’s just too much to do. It can be tempting to try to race through life, ticking off all the check boxes, but you risk missing out on all the fun.
Time is precious, and it’s important to remember that you can’t do everything. It’s okay to SLOW DOWN and take your time to enjoy all the world has to offer. There’s no need to hurry through life and miss out on all the good stuff. Here are seven things to consider when you’re ready to SLOW DOWN and savor life a bit more:
- Make time for the things you love – It’s easy to get caught on the hamster wheel and forget about the things you love. Take some time each day to do something you really enjoy.
- Connect with loved ones – Spending time with loved ones is one of the most precious things you can do. Do it!
- Be present – It’s easy to get caught up in worry about the future or dwell on the past. But it won’t change anything! Focus on the present moment – savor it.
- Enjoy the simple things – SLOW DOWN and appreciate the simple things in life. Like a beautiful sunset, a tasty meal or a walk in nature.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff – Most of the things you worry about are really not worth worrying about. Let go of the worry and focus on what’s important.
- Be grateful – Don’t take your life for granted. SLOW DOWN and appreciate all the wonderful things you have, you’ll be much happier.
- Live in the moment – The best way to savor life is to live in the moment. Pay attention to the present and enjoy it to the fullest.
