Henhouse Prowlers Bushel & Pecks Beloit, Wisconsin September 29th, 2012 Prowlers Website
The Henhouse Prowlers are closing in on two decades of making music together. This show is from a decade ago. It’s a soundboard recording with the audience some distance away, so the sound quality is excellent with hardly any crowd noise. The Prowlers played three sets at Bushel & Pecks. I like all of them.
The Prowlers are Bluegrass Ambassadors. Traveling the Great Wide World to share the beauty of the strings. In 2013, longtime Chicago bluegrass powerhouse Henhouse Prowlers launched a not-for-profit mission inspired by a unique vision of music education. I love the quote on their website:
Music is the great uniter. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common. ~Sarah Dessen
