The Telluride House Band is a legendary improvisational ensemble that performs annually as the closing act at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The group is composed of six bluegrass and acoustic music virtuosos:
- Sam Bush (mandolin, vocals)
- Béla Fleck (banjo)
- Jerry Douglas (dobro)
- Edgar Meyer (upright bass)
- Bryan Sutton (guitar)
- Stuart Duncan (fiddle)
This supergroup emerged from the earlier Strength in Numbers project, which originally included these members, along with Tim O’Brien. After O’Brien’s departure, the remaining five became a staple of the festival, with Edgar Meyer rotating in and out over the years; the current stable lineup has featured all six members for over a decade. Their performances are known for high-level musicianship, intricate improvisation, and a wide repertoire ranging from traditional bluegrass to jazz, rock, and world music influences.
