I had to go down to “The Valley” a few days ago to take care of some business and decided to take the Nikon Df along. I figured once my business was done, I could go hunting for some images. I packed the camera bag with old manual lenses from yesteryear, two AI manual-focus lenses, and 2 non-AI lenses older than I am: 3 primes and 1 zoom. The Df has been my favorite camera for almost a decade. It has a complete set of manual dials and knobs and can handle every Nikkor lens made prior to its birth in 2013.
Since I was shooting a retro camera and antique lenses, monochrome images seemed to fit the kit best. And since I didn’t have a single good idea this week for an essay or article, I thought it might be a good opportunity to share some photography.
