We love turn-of-the-century architecture and period hotels are a great way to connect with the vibe. Here are two images from the Plaza Hotel, on the Plaza in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The Plaza is 142 years old and some areas smell a bit musty, but that’s part of the charm, it reminds me of the cottage when we return after it’s been closed up for a few months. The old smell is about the only thing they have in common. The architectural detail is incredible at the Plaza and well worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood.
