The Colorado River flows, right through the center of downtown Austin, (it doesn’t actually flow, it’s a lake behind a dam) so bridges are plentiful. There aren’t enough during rush hour though when everyone is leaving the city for the burbs, but it’s not a problem if you’re walking. There’s one bridge set aside for pedestrians only, with no stop lights ;>) The more the merrier; a river of humanity crossing a river of water or something like that.
