Two for Tuesday – March 12th, 2024

This weeks images are from Clear Lake, Texas. Boats are big in Clear Lake and I like boats. Boats are adventure, whether it’s sailing the high seas, rafting a wild river or fishing the flats. When I was young, one of my dreams was being a sailor man and full timing on my own sailboat, navigating by the stars, dining on lobster and coconuts and anchoring down in beautiful little bays in the Carribbean or the Mediterranean.

That dream sailed a long time ago but boats still get me excited, even though I’ll probably never to sail around the world. In the first image it was the slender shapes that caught my eye; the sailboat mast and palm tree trunks extend toward the top of the frame and the canal divides it.

The second image was all about color; a blue and white boat juxtaposed against a blue and white sky. The raw power of the 4 pack of Mercury outboards and the sleek design of the boat was enough to attract my eye too though. I wonder how much fuel it holds?

Never Stop Exploring!
