M.M.M. #125 – Sean Canan’s Voodoo Players

One of my favorite Live Albums when I was a youngster was “The Last Waltz.” A bunch of incredible musicians sharing the same stage with no ego issues was a beautiful thing. Scorcese even made it into perhaps the most extraordinary concert documentary of all time. So, the other day while I was digging through the archive, looking for another great live recording to feature on Monday Morning Music, I came across this show from 2016, when the 40th Anniversary Album was released and got a little excited. Sean and the Player’s invited a bunch of awesome folks to join them in recreating their own version of “The Last Waltz.”

It’s definitely not “The Band” but it’s a fun recreation of “The Last Waltz,” by a stage full of talented musicians. It’s a lot of music, so here’s side A and B. Stop by next Monday for side C and D. Enjoy!
