Chicago Farmer & The Field Notes Tumbled Rock Brewery Baraboo, Wisconsin October 1st, 2022
Cody Diekhoff, aka Chicago Farmer is a Midwesterner like me. In fact he grew up an hour or so Southeast of where I grew up on the black earth prairie of central Illinois. He reminds me of another Illinois Folk Singer from just bit North of us – John Prine.
“I’m fascinated by America…it’s so odd.” ~ John Prine
Cody’s a folk artist from the Heartland. His lyrics are cerebal and he’s a fun and entertaining musician. This show with The Field Notes up in Wisconsin at the Tumbled Rock Brewery Anniversery party is a nice mix and a good introduction to Chicago Farmer, if you’re not familiar. He plays a few of my favorite covers along with his own. I really liked this set and I think you will too. Enjoy!
