Beaker Street was an underground music program broadcast across the Midwest when I was a teenager. In the 1960s Beaker Street was a staple of the underground music scene in the upper Mid-West. The strong nighttime signal of 50,000 watts meant that it was possible to listen to the station’s programming across a wide area.
